Switch to the web browser and login to the Administrative Web Interface
Click the File System Management button.
Click the Deduplication link.
Click the Settings tab.
Click on the Browse button in Deduplication Settings section or you can type in /ifs/data/Dedupe-Me in the Directories field

Browse to and select the /ifs/data/Dedupe-Me folder. Click the Select button
Click the Save Changes button
Click on the Job Operations link to go directly to the Cluster Management > Job Operations page

On the Job Operations page, click the More link to the right of of the Dedupe job listing.

Click Start Job from the drop-down menu
Click the Start Job button.
Explore Deduplication saving
The graph shows all data stored on the cluster. Data in the Other Data category is not able to be deduplicated.
You can hover over the different parts of the chart to get more detail.
1. In the Deduplicated Data line, you can see the space now consumed vs what was previous consumed for the directory that has deduplication enabled. Keep in mind the data used in the vLab are 20 copies of the exact same directory, is it has a very high rate of dedupication. Most home directories observer up to 30% savings. In this screenshot, what consumed 1.14 GB of space now consumes 58.5 MB.
2. The savings from the Dedupe job is displayed at 94.65% in the examples.
