For NFS exports the path must be created before the export is configured. To create the path as the cluster is currently configured, this requires either connecting to the cluster command or the web administration interface as the root user. The steps below show the process using the web administration interface logged in as root and NOT admin. The export can be created as admin, but the directory creation requires root.
Create the directory to export
Before proceeding, ensure you have logged out of the web administration interface as admin and have logged back in again as root.
To create a new directory to export, click File System Management and select File System Explorer
Click the data folder under ifs on the left. Click the Add Directory button

Name the directory my_nfs_export in the Directory name: field.
Check all the boxes for Read, Write and Execute
Click the Submit button
Create the NFS Export
To create a NFS export click Protocols and select UNIX Share (NFS)
Then click the Add an export button
Enter /ifs/data/my_nfs_export in the Path 1: field Directory Paths: section or use the Browse button to find it.
